REMO: GENERATING INTERACTIVE TUTORIALS BY DEMONSTRATION FOR ONLINE TASKS

Virginia Tech, December 2019 – present

  • Identified issues from people with limited digital literacy 

  • Developed web browser extension based to create interactive tutorials by demonstration, designed tutorials embedded within a web page, and utilized visual cues to direct users to specific parts of the page

  • Established communications between the web page, the inner web pop-up visual box, and a separate outer panel interface

INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH PROJECT: ITHEM, ECHO LAB, DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (SUPERVISOR: DR. SANG WON LEE)

Virginia Tech, August, 2020 – present (Ongoing project)

  • Lead and generated the project idea

  • Identified the need for multiple triggers in trigger action programming, and more complex and flexible if-then structures after a literature review of related work. (September – October)

  • Currently in the process of building service in IFTTT that allows the users to add more complex scenarios in the current IF-THEN rule structure
